ABOUT COURSE

B.Sc Nursing is a Degree Course offered by the University of Jammu. The duration of the course is 4 years. This program aims to prepare students to become competent nursing professionals who can provide comprehensive healthcare services across various settings.

ELIGIBILITY

• Age Limit: The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
• Sex: Male/Female
• Educational Qualifications:
  • Should have passed 10+2 examination with Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English as optional subjects conducted by the Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education or any examination recognized as equivalent.
  • Should have secured at least 45% marks for General Category and 40% for SC/ST Category in the qualifying examination.
• The candidate should possess good health, and have sound mental and moral character.

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED

• 10th and 12th original certificates with 2 sets of Photostat copies
• Certificates of Higher Education (if any)
• State Domicile / Nationality Certificate
• Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ST candidates)
• 12 Passport size photographs
• Transfer Certificate & Migration Certificate (for candidates from boards outside Jammu & Kashmir)
• Conduct Certificate
• Health Fitness Certificate

SELECTION FOR ADMISSION

Total number of B.Sc Nursing seats is 80. All admissions are made through an entrance examination conducted by the J&K Board of Professional Examination (BOPEE), except for Management Seats.

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

The Examinations both theory and practical are conducted semester wise by the University of Jammu. There will be two internal examinations both theory and practical conducted by the college in order to provide needed assistance and guidance to students. Unit tests are conducted at regular intervals.

FEE STRUCTURE FOR B.Sc NURSING

• Examination, Eligibility (if applicable), Hostel, Transport, and other Certification fees charged separately.
• Any other applicable fees not listed above will also be charged.
• Fees once paid will not be refunded.
• Obtain a proper cash receipt after payment.
• Payments without receipt will not be entertained later.
